Ministry Teams and Team Leaders
Outreach Ministry - Deann Thompson
Our Outreach Ministry Team is
responsible for involving our church family in local Outreach, such as Huxley
Clothes Pantry, Prairie Festival, and Ballard Creek Community. This team also
coordinates church involvement in more distant Outreach, such as Operation
Christmas Child. The Outreach Team also has responsibility for greeting on
Sunday mornings and follow-up communication with guests.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”
Matthew 28:19
Missions Ministry - Blake Haan
Jr./Sr. High Youth Ministry - Leroy Harmsen
We value our youth, and it
shows. Our Youth Pastor, as well as several of our adults are actively involved
in ministering to our youth. Each week our youth meet for Bible Study. Future
plans include mission trips and service activities for our communities. We also
encourage our youth to participate in worship services and minister to our
younger children.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because
you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love,
in faith, and in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12
Worship Ministry- Leann Houlette
The Worship Ministry Team
members plan our worship services. In worship, you will experience a blended
style of contemporary to traditional music, led by a small group of musicians.
Drama, special music, prayer, testimonies, responsive scripture reading, and
sermons from the Bible characterize our worship services.
“Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel
before the Lord Our Maker...”
Psalm 95:6
Children's Ministry - Bonnie Brown
Children are viewed as the
future here at Grace. Our Children’s Ministry Team provides many opportunities
for our children’s spiritual growth. We offer Sunday School for ages 2 through
6th Grade, as well as providing Nursery for infants through age 2. Many other
activities are offered for the children throughout the year. These include: a
Christmas program, special children’s church services, their weekly offering for
a Compassion International child, and other seasonal events. Our summer Vacation
Bible School, held in the evenings, is also a popular event in the community.
Our children also actively participate in Sunday worship services.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not
hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
Mark 10:14
Adult Ministry - Walter Rollman
Our Adult Ministry Team offers
opportunities for spiritual growth through Bible teaching, topical Bible study,
and small group fellowship. On Sunday morning, you can choose from two classes –
one investigates a book of the bible and the other looks at a topic of interest
from a biblical perspective. Throughout the year, various small groups consider
issues such as parenting, marriage, caring for others, and growing your faith.
Other opportunities include men and women’s studies, ladies’ nights out, family
retreats, and evenings of just plain fellowship and fun.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ...”
II Peter 3:18
Hospitality - Mike Whitney
The mission of the Hospitality
Ministry Team is to reach out to visitors, church members, and regular attendees
through a variety of activities. The team is responsible for planning fellowship
activities for adults, families, and couples on a regular basis. Some past
activities have included a bowling party, swimming party, game night, picnic,
Harvest Festival for all ages, car rally, Valentine’s banquet, and Christmas
party for adults. The team is also responsible for coordinating meals for those
who may be in need due to hospital stays, the birth of a baby, or other personal
needs. The Hospitality Team also helps with baby showers, weddings, and
funerals.
“Share with God’s people who are in need.
Practice Hospitality.”
Romans 12:13
